Stash Binging!

I guess since I've had my hands so full with my granddaughter living here, and I haven't been able to stitch, I've been making it up by treating myself to more stash than I can possibly stitch. My camera is so dsappointing to me that I'm going to be shopping for a better one (everything turns out blurry), so I'll have to list everything. This was a great mail day from my friend, Shirley at Country Cottage. For the month of April, she has Imaginating, M Designs, and Waxing Moon on sale at 40% off. I've already placed my order for April, LOL!
Starting left:
Stoney Creek magazine - April, Water's Edge "Fiesta," The Sweetheart Tree's Knob Knocker kit, "Let It Snow," Little House Needleworks' Thread Pack, "Strawberries," Little House Needleworks' Special Edition "Thread Gathering, all of which are covering some great freebies she always includes. Top right, propped against my sewing machine is JBW Designs,' "French Country - Cat," then, 2 packs of Kelmscott's new heart-shaped thread rings. Just below those are Kelmscott's new butterfly thread winder, and her new Lady Liberty needle minder. I love Paula Kelmscott's stuff! Use it all the time, but I have to admit... the needle minders can only be used one at a time, so they have become a collectible for me. I buy my favorite ones, and I think they're delightful.

Fun stash. I have the little one by Sweetheart Tree, Let It Snow, in my stash as well.

Has your grandaughter shown any interest in learning to crossstitch? I learned from my grandmother (she had the patience of a saint is seemed to me) and I have lots of fond memories of sitting and stitching with her. I have several of the pieces she made hanging in my house still today. She is also the one who taught me to knit and crochet, even though I don't do very much of either of them anymore.

Hi Nancy - I hope this post finds you well and happy :)

What a fabulous stash! I love 'Sweetheart Tree' designs and also the JBW ones too - I bought about 10 the other day! They were out of stock of the 'French Country - Cat' design, other than that I would have bought that one as well! I'm just waiting for some charts by 'Cross Eyed Cricket' that I've ordered. Oh it's such fun to stash! Lots of love you to you and your beautiful kitties x

Oh, Love all your new stash, Nancy!!! :-) I want to get the LHN Strawberry Thread Pack and a few of the other Thread packs I haven't picked up yet... And I love JBW's French Country Cat... Just beautiful... and what fun to get new stash... it always cheers me up!

I like Sue's idea about teaching your granddaughter to stitch... do you think she would like it? I wish my dd would develop an interest in stitching... hopefully one day... it would be so much fun to stitch and stash together! :-)

Lots of Love and {{{Hugs}}} to you, Hun...

You got some nice stash there, Nancy!

I think it's wonderful of you to have made a place in your home for your dgd. Spending time away, decompressing is most likely just what everyone needs. Hope this brings the two of you closer!

That stash haul is awesome ... and who says you have to actually stitch it? LOL. It sounds like it's working out so far with your GD - it all helps keep life interesting, and it sounds like you're just what she needs right now. You're a real sweetheart :D
