This will be framed for my granddaughter, Moriah, for her room. It's almost a joke, but she'll love it. She is nearly 15 years old, but everyone in the family has called her "The Princess" since she was very young, and still do. Is she spoiled? Yes, but in a good way.
It has been a long few days since I've blogged. My mother-in-law became very ill and was hospitalized. She's nearly 93 years old and refused to leave her home or have any help come in. Now, it has reached the point that the kids had no choice but to put her into a nursing home. The doctors would not release her to take back to her home, so she was sedated and taken by ambulance to the home. The kids are very shaken up because she has called the shots with them their whole lives, and they feel so guilty, they're nearly sick. We'll see how it all plays out, but when she gets her wits back, and any of them are there, I'm afraid she's going to make it even harder for them. It has been very upsetting for us all.

Sorry to hear about your MIL...
The stitching for your granddaughter is adorable. And I think all granddaughters are spoiled princesses and that is a good thing. :D
I too am sorry about your MIL. It unfortunately comes to a point where things change and it's getting scary for us too, though my mom and Brian's dad are a littler younger than your MIL. Good luck to Richard and his siblings. (Geez, your MIL was only in her 30s when you got married- I forgot you were a child bride).
And a cute finish for Moriah. My niece Tori is a Princess too. ; )
Very nice princess achievement! My five-year-ol daughter, for whom I am stitching fairies, just rejects the whole thing... She has even asked for a Superman costume to Santa... How frustrating!
Sorry for your MIL. I still have my two grandmas, born in 1913 and 1914, and one of them doesn't want to leave her home. Sure, it's a difficult question. And the specter of infamous old age behind this...
Happy month of november...
Hold on, Nancy! Fill it all with princesses! Hugs!
I'm sorry to hear about your mother in Law. My gran was just as stubborn before we put her in a nursing home. Now we don't know what's going to take her first, Alzhiemers or old age. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Sorry to hear of your MIL & the challenge of providing care for her. These are difficult decisions to make.
Lovely princess project. She will enjoy it.
